John Travolta’s House — Or Should We Say Airport

This house is in the Jumbolair Aviation Estates in Ocala, Florida. John Travolta is an actor probably most famous for his roles in Grease, Pulp Fiction, and Saturday Night Fever. The weirdest thing about this house is that it has two runways that lead directly to his front door! This house is a mid-century modern-style house consisting of over 7,000 square feet on nine acres.

In it, you will find five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, a swimming pool with an indoor cabana, and a 16-car garage because two airplanes at your door are not enough transportation. It also has two kitchens, one primary and the other for lighter snacks. From the kitchen, you can access one of the three dining rooms. The view is also centered around Travolta’s love of flying. Many of the rooms in the house have a view of both aircraft. The planes are parked only 100ft from the house.

Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch is More Like a Theme Park

The Neverland Ranch is in Los Olivos, California. Michael Jackson is best known for his music career as a solo artist — and for performing with his siblings in The Jackson 5. He started his career in music at the age of six. The Neverland Ranch was named after J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan story about a boy that never grew up.

The house is a 12,000-square-foot home with six bedrooms, staff quarters, two guest houses, and a total of 22 structures on the property. The ranch sits on 2,700 acres and includes a small zoo, an impressive amusement park, a train station, a dance studio, and a movie theater that seats 50! Riddled with accusations of molestation, the ranch had a stigma attached to it, and Jackson never lived there after. Since Michael Jackson’s passing, the ranch has reverted to its original name of Sycamore Valley Ranch. How very circus-like for a place called home.

Katy Perry Owns a Convent

Katy Perry is best known for her vocal talent, with songs like Roar and Firework over six albums. This superstar bought a Los Feliz convent for $14.5 million. The convent was built in 1923, sat on 8.5 acres of property, and has an expansive 30,000 square feet of living space. Encompassed in the home are 15 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, a great room, and a lower lounge with French doors and a spiral staircase.

The home also has a pool that overlooks the city, a tower, a prayer house, and parking for 50 cars. Katy Perry was in a legal fight with restaurateur Dana Hollister over the property. Why? Because Perry had made the real estate deal for the home with the archdiocese. Hollister made a deal with Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, who asserted that they had more rights to sell the property than the archdiocese did. Perry won the lawsuit, and Hollister was to pay $6.5 million in damages. It will always be a convent, however.

This western movie set was also used in All the Pretty Horses, Wild, Wild West, and Thor. The reception area holds a large, bejeweled bar. There is also a pool table, three pinball machines, a swimming pool with floating mini golf, a grand piano, and a few pets. With the two houses being so different, the property is not cohesive.

Frank Sinatra’s Palm Desert Home

Frank Sinatra most famous American singer and actor lovingly referred to as Ole’ Blue Eyes, was one of the most popular entertainers over three decades and a member of the Rat Pack. The house is an isolated retreat high above the Palm Desert Frank Sinatra purchased in the 1970s. It is secluded, indeed. However, it is still only 20 minutes from local shops and restaurants. He named his hideaway “Villa Maggio” for the character that he won an Oscar for portraying in “From Here to Eternity.”

The property spans 7.5 acres with views of 360 degrees. The main house has five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, the guest house has three bedrooms, and the pool house has one bedroom. If you have a pool house, you must have a pool; not just any pool will do. It must be a resort-like pool. Also located by the pool are a tennis court and a built-in firepit. There are scenic mountain and valley views, parking, and a helipad! The property is very dated and not aesthetically pleasing.

The Paisley Park complex is in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The exterior of the Paisley Park house is all-white aluminum with few windows. It looks like a factory of sorts instead of a house. The Paisley Park sound stage alone is 12,500 square feet of space.

Prince even had an NPG Music Club in the compound where he had his famed After Dark dance party. NPG had velvet sofas, a balcony, a dance floor, and enormous video screens. Nicolas Cage and His Haunted House

Nicolas Cage is an American actor. He likes disturbing and horrifying artifacts. This actor once owned one of the most haunted homes in America. He owned the New Orleans house of Madame Delphine LaLaurie and her husband, Dr. Louis LaLaurie. Architecturally speaking, the house is incredible. However, few people wish to own it because of the sordid history attached to it. The house was constructed in 1832 and was, at the time, one of the most awe-inspiring homes in the French Quarter.

The story of Madame LaLaurie is that she was cruel and abhorrent to the people the enslaved. In April of 1834, a fire broke out in the mansion, and firefighters discovered seven mutilated enslaved people after the fire. After The New Orleans Bee, the French-language newspaper broke the story, over 4,000 people gathered at the Cabildo, the city hall, the mansion was pillaged, and the remaining house was destroyed. The LaLauries escaped to France, but it is rumored that upon Madame LaLaurie’s death, she was brought back to New Orleans and buried in the St. Louis Cemetery.

Kim Kardashian Has a Bel Air Mansion Filled With Air

Kim Kardashian is an American social media personality, socialite, and businesswoman, and has her own clothing and beauty lines. This Bel Air Mansion is 9,000 square feet of living space in a 3/4 -acre gated property with a two-story living room, five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a library, elevator, massage room, gourmet kitchen, a spa tub, and a pergola. The home’s interior is astonishingly severe, with all-white stone floors, walls, ceiling, trim, and doors.

A chef’s kitchen has an elongated island, all-white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and open shelving like a restaurant. Kim and Kanye were the house’s designers and were involved in all details. They wanted neutral colors and minimal furniture that was also light neutral colors. Minimalist style does not mean being colorless. The term minimalist is a complete contradiction to the size of the house and their lives. They have three small children, and nothing states one child, let alone three children exist there. It is like they live in a museum.

The master closets are horrid, and the other walk-in closet is a lighter wood finish but is just as awful.

Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia

Mukesh Ambani is the wealthiest man in India and the sixth richest man globally. Antilia is a 27-story, $2 Billion house for six people in downtown South Mumbai. The skyscraper sits on 48,000 square feet of land, is 550 ft tall, and has over 400,000 square feet of living space. All six lower floors are dedicated to parking and can hold 168 cars. Then the lobby is above the parking and has nine high-speed elevators.

The skyscraper has a helipad on its roof with its own air traffic control facility. There are multiple swimming pools, a theater, a spa, a yoga studio, and four floors of hanging gardens for its eco-friendly status. The most disturbing part of this house is that it is in the most poverty-laden area of India, where more than half of its residents live on $2 per day. Antilia looms over an overcrowded slum.
